Aléwa Cooper joined Foote in 2020 as Foote's 10th Head of School. She is an experienced independent school leader and teacher who brings a palpable sense of joy and a genuine love of teaching young children.
Curriculum & special classes
The academic program is designed for adventurous students, challenging them to think critically, solve problems creatively, and work at the upper edge of their ability. It requires language in every grade (K–9), with offerings including Spanish, Chinese, and Latin, and also includes theater, art, and P.E. classes.
