The Berkeley School offers a progressive program for children from age 4 to middle school (TK-8th grade). Extended Day Program, called 'The Depot', offers flexible care and enrichment activities for TK-6th grade students. Activities include Spanish classes, arts and crafts, games, free play, homework time, snacks, PE and movement classes, team sports, and optional enrichment classes (ex. judo, chess, gymnastics, cooking, carpentry, STEM, robotics). Hours range from 1:20 PM to 6:00 PM, 2:20 PM to 6:00 PM, or 3:20 PM to 6:00 PM, following the BUSD academic calendar (August 12th, 2026 to June 3rd, 2027).
Cost
For TBS students (TK-5th grade), optional Extended Day is $5,500 for a full year or $25 per hour. For 6th-8th grade, Extended Day is included in tuition. For The Depot program (TK-6th grade for TBS and other students), yearly costs for 2026-27 range from $2,600 (1 day/week, 3:20-6 PM) to $11,550 (5 days/week, 1:20-6 PM). Monthly costs range from $260 to $1,155. A $1,100 deposit and $60 registration/administrative fee are added. Transportation from select BUSD schools is $300 a month. BUSD days off care is $140 a day (9 AM - 5 PM).
