Curriculum & special classes
Live Oak School offers a K-8 curriculum where students pursue deep understanding by exploring and constructing their own answers to big questions. The Lower School (K-5) has two teachers per homeroom, focusing on reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, social emotional skills, arts, library, PE, and Spanish. The Middle School (6-8) uses a departmentalized schedule with specialist teachers for humanities, math (including Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1), science, Spanish, art, music, PE, drama, and electives.
