Pathway School offers quality educational services in a safe and structured learning environment, recognized by the Alabama State Department of Education as a Specialized Treatment Center. Students may receive regular education and/or special education services, with core curriculum classes scheduled in eight periods of fifty minutes each, driven by the Alabama Courses of Study.

Reimbursement is routinely based upon capitation (a set rate for comprehensive services). Pathway accepts some insurance coverages and participates in planning for managed care.

Pathway's admission staff considers each referral individually based upon the needs of the client in conjunction with the program's ability to effectively provide appropriate services. Information relevant to admission procedures, application and placement may be obtained by calling the offices during regular business hours.

What they ask for: Referrals are typically made by a Social Worker or Probation Officer who should call the main campus or complete and fax/email a referral form. The school considers males and females aged 10-18 with diagnoses such as conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorders, dual diagnoses, attention deficit disorder, adjustment disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, intermittent explosive disorder, anxiety disorder, and depressive disorders.
