Head of School
Michelle Edwards became Woodland Hill's Head of School in 2020, having served as Assistant Head of School since June 2017. She also serves as a trustee on the board of the New York State Association of Independent School (NYSAIS), treasurer of the NYSAIS board, and a mentor Head of School in the American Montessori Society's Leadership Collective.
Curriculum & special classes
Woodland Hill Montessori School nurtures a child’s love of learning and sense of social and personal responsibility using the child-centered Montessori philosophy. The curriculum develops intellectual, spiritual, physical, artistic, and academic excellence inherent in each child, with programs ranging from Toddler (18 months) through Middle School (Grades 7-8).
Financial aid
To apply for financial aid, families must visit the FACTS Grant & Aid website and submit a non-refundable application fee by the deadline. Requests for aid and financial information are kept strictly confidential.

Morning care from 7:45-8:20 a.m. for Primary-Middle School students, available for an additional fee on school days.
After school
After school care from 2:50 - 6:00 p.m. for Primary-Middle School students, available for an additional fee on school days. The Enrichment Program is also available on days when children are not in school, from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Before & After Care (Primary-Middle School): Five days a week $3,800; Four days a week $3,595; Three days a week $2,885; Two days a week $1,905; Five days a week until 4p.m. $2,990; Morning care only (7:45-8:30 a.m.) $1,115. Drop-in fees: From 7:45-8:20 a.m. $15; From 2:50-6:00 p.m. $30. Enrichment Program: $75 per child, per day (2024-2025 school year).

Admissions
The admissions process begins with a parent visit, followed by submission of a completed application and fee. When all materials are received, the child is invited for a visit and informal assessment. Decisions are made no later than March 8th.
