Ruth Ann Regens

Head of School

Ruth Ann Regens holds a B.A. in public policy from Duke University, an M.Ed. from Pepperdine University, and an M.Ed. in independent school leadership from Columbia University's Teachers College. She also teaches math in the Middle Division.

Westminster School offers an innovative, carefully structured, and child-centered education for Pre-K through 8th grade, focusing on academic and social development with a 10:1 student-teacher ratio. The school is an independent, coeducational, non-sectarian day school accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS).

The admissions process begins with an inquiry to place a child on a wait list. Priority is given to children of faculty, staff, and siblings of current students. Admission is guided by available space, meeting requirements, and the date of first contact.

What they ask for: Online inquiry form; parent tour; age requirements for specific grades; student meeting with Director of Admission (5-Day, Kindergarten); child visit with readiness evaluation (First Grade); student visit for part or all of a day (Second through Eighth Grades); student records (last report card, standardized test results) and math/reading evaluations, writing sample (Second through Eighth Grades).
