Mark Stanek became Shady Hill's sixth Head of School on July 1, 2010. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Hamilton College and an M.A. in Private School Leadership and Education Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Curriculum & special classes
Shady Hill School offers a unique Central Subject curriculum where students in Grades 3–8 spend the year studying an overarching topic through literature, geography, writing, and history. Before Grade 3, classes pursue a variety of Thematic Studies, embracing the Central Subject methodology in shorter, age-appropriate units.
Financial aid
