Celeste Herrera has been Calhoun’s Head of School since July 2024. Prior to joining Calhoun, she served as the assistant head of school at The Dalton School, where she also held positions as assistant head for academics, high school director, and director of college counseling.

Curriculum & special classes

Calhoun offers a progressive, student-centered learning environment from Pre-K through 12th grade, featuring a Montessori program in the Lower School. The curriculum cultivates intellectual authenticity, empowering students to turn curiosity and capacity into purpose, and prepares them to take ownership of their learning.

Financial aid

Calhoun is committed to providing need-based financial assistance for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Financial assistance is not offered for the preschool program (Young 3's, 3's and 4's).
