As Head of School, Carol Ann Richards leads a community that values academic excellence, personal growth, and a deep sense of responsibility to others. She is committed to inspiring students to reach their full potential in the classroom, on the athletic field, or in service to the community.

Beaufort Academy's mission is to instill in students the intellectual curiosity and strength of character for success in all aspects of their lives. The school is committed to developing well-rounded critical thinkers that are prepared to be problem-solvers and 'Leaders of Tomorrow' within a rigorous academic environment and core values.

Financial aid may be granted to qualified families for students rising Kindergarten through 12th grade who demonstrate academic promise and financial need. Roughly 33% of students receive financial aid each year, awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Beaufort Academy starts working with prospective families in October for admission the following fall. After current students and new siblings re-enroll, the school enters a Rolling Admission phase, accepting students from January until August if space remains. The process varies slightly by age, with an online new student application being the first step for all applicants.

What they ask for: Online application ($100 fee), parent letter, birth certificate, immunization record, IFSP/allergy/medical/therapy records (if applicable). For K-12: also include most recent report cards/progress reports, high school work in progress/unofficial transcript (grades 9-12), 1-2 teacher recommendations, standardized testing/MAP scores. All applicants undergo a student assessment.
