Jeff Miles assumed the role of the sixth Head of School at Athens Academy on July 1, 2026. Prior to this, he served as Head of School at Rabun Gap–Nacoochee School, where he led a successful strategic plan and capital campaign.

Athens Academy is an independent, college preparatory school committed to Excellence with Honor for students from Preschool through twelfth grade. For K3/K4, 'Stay and Play' is available from 12:00-3:45 p.m. For Pre-first, 'Stay and Play' is 1:30-3:45 p.m. The 'Extended Day' program is available for students age 4 through eighth grade until 5:45 p.m. daily, including outdoor recreation, small group activities, and supervised study hall. After-school enrichment classes are also offered for K4-8, with past offerings including cooking, art, dance, martial arts, robotics, and animation.

Stay and Play (K3/K4/Pre-first): $5.00 per day or a discounted annual rate of $750.00. Extended Day (ages 4 through eighth grade): $20.00 per day or a discounted annual rate of $2,500. Enrichment class costs are not specified.
